COMBI is a Combination node offering DAC, ADC, UART and PNP I/O.

Hardware Features

• Uart - RS232 or RS485 format, isolated, protected (9 way D Type connector).
• 2 Analogue Input channels -
  range + / - 10V, 13 bit resolution, isolated, protected, Input noise filtering.
• 1 Analogue Output channel -
  range + / - 10V.5, 16 bit resolution, isolated, protected.
• 4 Optically isolated Digital Inputs/Outputs. Fully protected. PNP format (Output driven to 24V when active). Nominal 24V operation. Individual I/O can be used as either Inputs or Outputs.

Software Features provided by Control-C

• Write and Read to Uart.
• Full UART set up facility.
• Receive interrupt on Uart.
• Receive buffering on Uart.
• Analogue channels updated every 2 milli seconds.
• Digital I/O Outputs set instantly. Inputs read every 0.0005 sec.
• Digital I/O timed output pulses ( period = 0.0005 to 60 sec. resolution = 0.0005 sec).
• Digital I/O input filtering (preventing false signalling).
• Digital I/O edge triggered software interrupts on all inputs.
• Interrupts fully software configured and controlled.
• Software induced interrupts by pulsing outputs.
• Edge counting facility on all inputs.

Front Panel Indicators

• 8 Segment Display - Status, programming progress and Communications indicator.
• Uart Status - Led indication of send or receive for either RS232 or RS485.
• Analogue Input Status (2 channels) - Bi-colour (Green/Red) LED with colour and brightness proportional to input voltage.
• Analogue Output Status - Bi-colour (Green/Red) LED with colour and brightness proportional to output voltage.
• Digital I/O Status - Red LED on = when I/O is in the active state (0V).
